Home Yoga Practice
Creating a focused, fulfilling practice session on my own time, without the guidance of a teacher has been a reoccurring challenge for me. I often feel that my mind is more occupied with planning ahead what I should do next or what kind of poses I may be skipping out on that could be important to that particular session or my body's needs that particular day. My mind tends to wander and I can sometimes be taken out of my practice by the distractions surrounding me. I have faith in the idea that a yogi's home practice can be the most gratifying and cultivating. I found these 8 tips for a successful home yoga practice to be very helpful! But most of all, it is important for me to keep reminding myself to always approach my asana with a light heart, absence of judgments, and an appreciation for wherever it is at that moment.
